As the University of Cape Coast continues to chalk enormous success, its students and faculties are following suit.
At the just-ended entrance exams for students to be admitted to the Ghana School of law, Mr. Kenneth Atsu Dogbey, a student from the University of Cape Coast’s Faculty of Law, was crowned the overall best candidate.
Out of a total of 2652 candidates who sat for the exam, only 522 passed, representing less than 20 percent of the candidates who took part in the examination.
Speaking to ATL FM NEWS, Law Lecturer at UCC Faculty of Law, Vanboven Swansy-Essien expressed his satisfaction with the performances of the students churned out by the Faculty and are projecting the image of the university so high.
According to him, Kenneth Atsu Dogbey was part of the team that won the ‘Law Challenge’ in 2021
“He continues to make us proud. He was for us the law challenge and this year too he was adjudged the overall best candidate”, he said.

Mr. Swansy-Essien, who is also the coordinator for the UCC law Challenge Team further indicated that with the laurels the Faculty has been winning for the University, it is in the right direction to state that the Faculty is a Centre of Legal Excellence.
He said “this year we successfully defended our Law Challenge Crown”.

Meanwhile, the 2019 Valedictorian, Miss Dzigbordi Dzakpa has also been adjudged the BEST STUDENT in Company and Commercial Practice in the 2022 Professional Law Examinations. She took the prestigious John Mensah Sarbah Award.
Also, Miss Sabina Sabia Larribah Bolsong, who has been enrolled on the Roll of Lawyers, was the OVERALL BEST PERFORMING STUDENT for the 2022 Professional Law Examinations.
