Taylor says ‘enough is enough’ to Amanda Serrano’s team as tensions rise before their trilogy fight at Madison Square Garden, with Katie Taylor firmly addressing the criticisms coming from Serrano’s camp as the Irish champion prepares for another historic night in women’s boxing.

Taylor Breaks Her Silence

Katie Taylor has chosen to speak up after ongoing claims from Amanda Serrano’s team about alleged headbutts and fight tactics. While Serrano initially accused Taylor of headbutting during their Texas fight last November and using similar tactics against Chantelle Cameron, she later softened her stance on social media. However, with trainer Jordan Maldonado also questioning Taylor’s approach, Taylor decided it was time to respond. She stated she’s not angry but feels the need to defend herself, saying, “There’s been a lot of complaining and whining from the other team about decisions and headbutts. Enough is enough.”

Excitement Ahead of Historic Fight

Despite the off-ring drama, Taylor remains focused on the upcoming fight, describing it as a privilege to be part of another major moment for women’s boxing. She reflected on her journey as both a professional and amateur, acknowledging how surreal it feels to fight again at Madison Square Garden. Taylor expressed her excitement, stating she “can’t wait to step in there” and sees this as another opportunity to showcase her talent on one of boxing’s biggest stages.

Serrano Responds with More Criticism

At the final press conference before their clash, Serrano reignited tensions by claiming Taylor backed out of an agreement to have three-minute rounds in the trilogy bout, with the fight now set for ten two-minute rounds. Serrano argued that Taylor should have upheld the agreement, calling into question who truly dictates the fight’s terms. Taylor, standing her ground, fired back by reminding Serrano that she is not in a position to dictate terms, asserting her position confidently.

A Fight with High Stakes

Both fighters are entering the ring with strong opinions and determined mindsets, adding even more fuel to what is already a highly anticipated showdown. Taylor’s decision to address the narrative set by Serrano’s team shows her readiness to defend her integrity while focusing on delivering another top-level performance in New York.
