It was difficult growing up with a famous mother, according to singer Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, better known by her stage name Efya.
A well-known filmmaker and celebrity host of “Greetings from Abroad,” Nana Adwoa Awindor is the mother of The Best in Me singer. Her productions were very popular during the 1990s and the early 2000s.
Although it is believed that Efya receives favorable treatment and favors because she is a celebrity’s daughter, she claimed that this was not the case for her when she was growing up.
On the most recent episode of “The Doreen Avio’s” program, Efya described how she experienced bullying in school once her seniors learned who her mother was.
“It was very stressful. There was a lot of pressure. I got beaten up because of my mom when I got to secondary school,” Efya stated.

The four-time VGMA Best Female Singer of the Year claimed that although she had always sung in church and loved music, her professional singing career only started after she took part in Stars of the Future.
The Till the Dawn singer claimed that her initial intention was to become a film director like her father because she had always cultivated that ambition.
Efya also stated that she added Nokturnal to her name on her Twitter handle because she is always awake at night.
“I don’t really sleep at night and it’s been like that for a very long time. So, I figured I might as well make it cool because I’m a very Nokturnal being and I come alive at night. Most of the time I like to work late at night because it’s quiet,” the songstress added.
