Director-General Security Exchange Commission (SEC) Ghana, Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh says individuals must take personal responsibility for whatever decision they make when investing their funds in the various Market Operators.
Speaking at an investor education programme dubbed time with SEC, he said it behoves on customers to understand the ins and outs of whatever financial bonds there are before agreeing to it.
“When it comes to investment, there is a tradeoff between risk and return…high return will go with high risk… and if it does not go well the question is did you know or you did not know. The fundamental thing is that take responsibility, if you do not understand something stay away from it,” he emphasized.
