Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane says he will send his English friends a photo from the beach as he prepares for his first proper winter break.
England captain Kane, 30, scored in Bayern’s 2-1 win over Wolfsburg on Wednesday, with the Bundesliga now breaking for over three weeks.
Kane is the top scorer in Premier League Boxing Day matches, with 10 goals in seven games for Tottenham.
The festivities will be more relaxing this year, and he said: “I can’t wait.”
Kane added: “I’m really looking forward to it. It’s been tough here without the family for these four months, without the kids and without the wife.”
Kane’s family remained in London following his £86.4m move from Tottenham to Bayern in the summer. He initially lived in a hotel before finding a house recently.

The striker is Tottenham’s all-time top scorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances, having spent his entire career with the London side until his German move, except for loans as a youngster.
Kane said of his family: “It’s just about spending some time with them, some quality time. When we get back everyone will move to Germany, which will be nice as well.”
He has scored 25 goals in 22 games for the German club, with 21 of them coming in 15 Bundesliga games.
The Premier League is one of the few European leagues that does not pull the shutters down around Christmas – in fact it is typically its busiest period.
Kane scored 22 goals in matches taking place between 26 December and 4 January during his Spurs career. This year he will be soaking up the sun for much of that period.
“We’re going somewhere hot, so we’ll spend 10 days and just enjoy that time,” Kane said. “I’m going to text all my mates in England a picture of me on the beach somewhere.”
