King Promise, a Ghanaian Afrobeats musician, responded to criticism regarding his association with socialite and lifelong friend Efia Odo.
Speaking candidly about their friendship, King Promise stated that the socialite has been his supporter and friend for more over eight years, according to Efia Odo.
In an interview with Kwadwo Sheldon, the “Terminator” hitmaker revealed that he had a close friendship with Efia even before he became famous, demonstrating their tight relationship.
King Promise claims that just because some people don’t like Efya Odo’s personality or attitude doesn’t mean he will break up with her.
“I don’t know. I have asked some of my friends why they don’t like her, but they can’t give me a reason. Maybe it’s because they don’t appreciate her character, but for me, I appreciate her uniqueness.
“I’ve known Efia for about eight years, long before I gained fame and she has always been supportive of everything I do. So why should I abandon my friend just because you don’t like her? Does that make sense? It certainly doesn’t make sense,” King Promise stated in an interview with YouTuber, Kwadwo Sheldon.

King Promise made this comment in response to social media users and fans who have called on him to break up with her and denounced their connection.
Efia supported King Promise and hoped the artist would win Artiste of the Year before the TGMA ceremony. She believed that King Promise’s escapade was superior to all others in the category and that it should have won the prize.
Both have been spotted together in public on numerous occasions, such as the artist’s music video shoot and the most recent TGMAs.
King Promise’s position suggests that because of their intimate relationship, social media users will need to adjust to each other’s proximity.
The “True to Self” album by King Promise was just released and can be listened to on all streaming services.
