Ghanaian musician Sista Afia has revealed her current relationship status, stating that she’s intentionally avoiding romantic entanglements.
In a candid interview on Daybreak Hitz, Sista Afia explained her reasoning.
“I’m not looking. Honestly, I’m not looking for a relationship. I don’t need it for now. I do get approached, but I don’t get involved because it takes a lot of things away from me. I mean, I turn down a lot of people because I just want to put myself first. Past relationships didn’t go well for me, so I just want to be by myself.”
Although she’s not actively seeking a relationship, Sista Afia remains open to the possibility of meeting someone special:
“I’m not stopping anybody from coming though. When I see that you are the one, you are the one. If I know, I have to feel it. Every girl needs that.”

Sista Afia opens up on her relationship status
In addition to discussing her relationship status, Sista Afia shared her thoughts on the music industry, specifically addressing the topic of signing a 360 deal:
“I’d sign a deal and not a label. I’d never sign a 360 whatever. I’d never do that, but I’d want collaboration, distribution deals, publishing deals, promo deals, anything deals but not signing. I feel like I’ve built myself to some standard where I’m not starting from scratch, so why would I need a 360 unless the deal is good and it will benefit me?”

Sista Afia’s comments highlight her decade-long journey in the music industry, marked by independence, hard work, and a commitment to maintaining her artistic integrity without resorting to romantic relationships to advance her career.
