Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has revealed that he invested more over $2 million to launch his ride-hailing business, Shaxi.
In a live session with his fans, the musician gave his motivation for launching the company—that being his wish to help others and provide prospects for careers.
He revealed that he decided to start a business to help others thrive rather than squandering the more than $2 million on personal luxury.
“That is why I want t make extra money and support otherwise why should I establish a business. That over $2 million that I used to open my Shaxi business, by now I should be enjoying with that money.
“I could have bought Rolls Royce, Lamborghini,” Shatta Wale said.

According to Shatta Wale, the large investment went toward a number of commercial expenses, such as app development, buying several minicars, and general marketing.
Despite his image, Shatta claimed to be a compassionate person who is deserving of kindness.
