Emmanuel Yeboah, a center-forward for the Black Meteors, has expressed his happiness after scoring twice in Ghana’s 3-2 win over Congo at the present Africa U-23 Cup of Nations after coming off the bench.
Yeboah, who was substituted for Daniel Afriyie Barnieh after the first half finished in a stalemate without a goal, scored two goals and supplied an assist to give the Ghana U23 squad a victory to start their season.
However, rather taken the credit, the CFR Cluj striker was quick shower praise on his teammates for their contribution to the five-goal thriller win over Congo at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.

“I’m a pretty relaxed person. When the coach told me to enter the game, I immediately knew what my mission was: to shine for the team.” the lanky striker told the press after the game.
At the age of 20, the Sunyani-born talent will undoubtedly be one of the players to watch throughout the competition. “The credit doesn’t belong to me alone. I feel blessed to be part of a group where I can genuinely call each of these players my brothers.”
Ghana will return to action on Tuesday with a crucial Group A clash against host nation Morocco, while Congo Brazzaville will also take on Guinea in the day’s second match. In the opening match on Saturday, Morocco secured a 2-1 victory over Guinea.
The Black Meteors could book a ticket into the semi final stage if they defeat Morocco in the second Group A game on Tuesday.
