KiDi, born Dennis Nana Dwamena, of Lynx Entertainment, claims he got too prideful on the night of the 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), which led to his loss of the night’s ultimate prize, Artiste of the Year, to gospel singer, Diana Antwi Hamilton.
In his most recent interview with Tony Best on Akoma FM’s Entertainment 360 on Saturday, July 31, the Highlife and Afrobeat star said that it is natural to believe that once nominated, you may win the categories and perhaps the ultimate.
But winning Artiste of the Year got too much into his mind when he received his third prize on the night, he added.
“When I took the first award, I didn’t talk too much, the second too, I spoke less in my acceptance speech, but when I took the 3rd award, it boosted my confidence and at that point, I felt I was so close to winning the Artiste of the Year, the reason I said, ‘I will be back.
