Despite widespread belief that he, Wizkid, and Burna Boy are the three largest Afrobeats artists in the world right now, Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has stated that he is the only major Afrobeats performer.
He recently said as much on the American program Sway’s Universe.

“You are the African big three alongside Wizkid and Burna Boy?” the host questioned. Do you think of yourselves as the world’s top three Afrobeats musicians?
Davido replied, “I am big me.”
