Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci has announced her plans to cook the largest pot of Jollof rice ever. The event, titled #GinoworldJollofFestwithHildaBaci, is scheduled for September 12, 2025, in collaboration with @ginonaija.
This ambitious attempt will feature a pot measuring six meters wide and six meters tall, aiming to set a new culinary world record.

Baci shared her excitement on social media, revealing that the idea was inspired by a dream she had nearly two years ago: “Almost two years ago, I had the dream to cook the largest pot of Jollof Rice ever made. Now, with @ginonaija and YOU, that dream is coming alive. Because what is Jollof without you to share it with?”
The chef, who gained attention for her 100-hour cook-a-thon in Lagos, emphasized that the September event will celebrate food, culture, and community.
