Ghanaian socialite Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Real, has requested a new attorney before to her trial.
This choice was made after she split from Adam Cortez, her lawyer from the beginning of her legal case.
Legal records state that on November 8, 2023, Hajia4Real filed a request for a change of counsel with the US court, and on November 9, 2023, the motion was approved.

To handle her case moving forward, she has now hired Ms. Eleanor Fast of “The Fast Law Firm PC.” The reasons for her choice to change attorneys are still unknown.
Before the trial, which was originally scheduled for November 13, Ms. Fast requested a 60-day extension from the court so that she could fully familiarize herself with the matter. The court did, however, give a 45-day extension.
In May 2023, Hajia4Reall was extradited from the UK to the US on charges that she had conned elderly, single American men and women out of over $2 million through a fraudulent Lonely Hearts scheme.
She entered a not guilty plea and was given a $500,000 bond, along with an ankle monitor for GPS tracking.
