The Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) held its General Assembly (GA) on Saturday at Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) in Accra.
The GA received reports from the president of the association as well as from various sub committees as it planned towards the GUSA Games and Cross Country respectively scheduled for this year.
The events is being held after two years absence due to the COVID 19 Pandemic.

Other issues discussed by the assembly ncluded:
The maiden FASU Football Championship to be hosted by the University of Ghana, FISU Games at Chengdu China, visibility of GUSA, Wellfare of Members, Ghana Games, Sponsorship and Promotion and membership subscription.
Members of the General Assembly agreed that students subscription fees should be increased from two to three Ghana Cedis starting from next academic year.
Additionally, the budget for year was also approved.
The General Assembly was attended by the Registrar of University of Professional Studies, Dr. Koryoe Anim-Wright, Registrar of GIJ, Dr. Sika Akoto, the Vice-Chancellor of SDD-UBIDS, Prof. Emmanuel Kancheba Derbile, GUSA President, Tanko Shaibu Ibrahim, Executive Council Members, Directors and six members each from the 14 Universities in Ghana as well as student leaders.
