The government plans to introduce the Performance Tracker at GIMPA in Accra on Wednesday, April 10.
This platform intends to improve openness and accountability in the nationwide delivery of infrastructure projects.
The Performance Tracker is intended to address long-standing issues about the accuracy and trustworthiness of project presentations, including the use of artist’s impressions to depict results.
It will be a reliable instrument for demonstrating the development and effect of infrastructure initiatives, building trust and confidence among citizens.
The inaugural ceremony will be carried live on national television networks and digital platforms.
Prior to the debut, Samuel Atta Akyea, MP for Abuakwa South, expressed optimism that the Performance Tracker will answer any worries about the country’s financial management.

In an interview with Asaase Radio, Mr. Atta Akyea stressed the relevance of the tracker in dispelling suspicions regarding the smart use of Ghana’s resources, as well as the need of accountability to the Ghanaian people.
“We need to see this performance tracker for people to know that the monies of this nation have been applied properly.”
“It is going to change everything, and all the arguments will be settled that nobody has dissipated the resources of this country; a lot of infrastructure rollouts has happened under President Akufo-Addo, and that is critical.”
