Google is introducing new capabilities to its AI assistant, Gemini, allowing users to ask questions using video and on-screen content in real time.
At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, the company demonstrated a new “Screenshare” feature that enables users to share their phone’s screen with Gemini and pose questions based on what they see. One example highlighted a user shopping for baggy jeans and inquiring about other clothing options that would match.
Additionally, Google had previously previewed a video search feature at Google I/O last year, which allows users to ask Gemini questions while recording a video.
