On Tuesday, a Sprinter Benz bus and a VW Jetta saloon car crashed on the Accra Cape Coast section between Gomoa Kyerekwanta and Gomoa Antaadze, injuring 21 persons.

Adolf Ankomah Nuamah, the Assistant Chief Fire Officer Grade 2 at the Apam Fire Station and the District Fire Officer for Goma West, disclosed that the driver of the VW Jetta saloon car was allegedly sleeping as a result of exhaustion when he struck the Mercedes Benz Sprinter bus, causing it to somersault and injuring passengers.

Two days ago, a comparable incident on the same stretch of road resulted in the death of a female victim and the treatment of additional injured people.
“We received a distress call. We rushed to the place and saw the vehicles involved in the accident. Nobody has died but 10 females and 11 males were injured.”
