Goil has cut down the price of fuel by 15p today, Tuesday, December 7.
This is in response to a directive issued by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during a meeting with driver unions on Monday, December 6.
The drivers had put the country’s growing fuel prices to the test.
On Monday, they began a sit-down strike.
Passengers were stranded in most parts of Accra as a result of the strike.
The President then convened a meeting to consider the next steps.
Following the meeting, Mr. Akufo-Addo was said to have directed the Ghana Oil Company (Goil) to lower fuel prices.
