The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has forecast mostly cloudy weather conditions throughout July and August, with moderate to heavy rainfall expected along the coast, inland regions, and mountainous areas.
Already, parts of the country are experiencing cold weather and varying intensities of rainfall.
Speaking on ATL FM’s Mantow Mu Nsem yesterday, July 10, 2025, the Central Regional Director of GMet, Mr. Samuel Opoku Danso, urged the general public especially fishermen to exercise caution during this period.
He encouraged those going to sea to check sea conditions in advance by dialing *92088#.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mrs. Priscilla Ackah of the Heartbeat Homeopathic Clinic in Cape Coast has advised parents to dress children under two years in warm clothing such as socks, head warmers, cardigans, and footed sleepers to help keep infants warm and prevent cold-related illnesses.
She explained that babies and toddlers are particularly vulnerable to the effects of cold temperatures, making it essential to keep them properly covered.
She also offered tips for individuals with asthma and other respiratory conditions, advising them to drink plenty of water, avoid known triggers, and keep their inhalers close at all times.
