Concerns about social media echo chambers are becoming a reality on Threads due to a glitch that causes repetitive posts across user feeds. Some users on both desktop and mobile are experiencing a bug where one post is echoed repeatedly, making it seem as if everyone is saying the same thing.
One user humorously remarked, “Siri, unsubscribe me from 2025,” as social media expert Alexa Heinrich shared a screenshot showing her feed filled with the same joke, with everyone pleading for Apple’s AI to rescue them from a cycle of negativity.
While Meta’s apps have faced criticism recently, this Threads glitch seems more amusing than detrimental. However, last week, some users inadvertently shared private conversations with Meta AI on a public feed, exposing sensitive information like medical issues and contact details.

The cause of the bug is still unknown, but Meta Communications Director Andy Stone acknowledged the issue in response to app researcher Jane Manchun Wong, stating, “Whoops, that clearly shouldn’t have happened! We’re working on getting it fixed now.”
