Solicitor and advocate at the Ahmed Legal Consult in Accra, Mr. Musa Ahmed has lauded the government for the progress made in the area of digitization in the country.
According to him, the status achieved in the quest for digitization has put Ghana at par with other countries in the world of digitalization.
He said, “every nation is seeking to progress in all areas and this aspect of it is good for Ghana if we have to match side by side with other countries of the world.”
His commendation comes at the back of comments made by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on the quest to make the Ghana Card an e-passport by the first quarter of 2022.
According to Dr. Bawumia, this will give the Ghana Card recognition from International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) countries which will enable cardholders to board flights to 197 countries and 44,000 airports across the globe.

Speaking on this development, Mr. Ahmed says the government deserves commendation as the efforts being made towards digitization is contributing to the development of the nation.
Mr. Ahmed noted that “…the resources for doing many things is limited. So if in the limited resources they have, they have managed to put across this as an important aspect of the programme they have for the nation, then they have done well. They have done well for starting with this aspect of development”.
He emphasized that the step is in the right direction.
