Don, the organizer of the Ghana Music Awards-USA, has revealed that Ghanaians do not support anything new at first. He said that until the venture has gained prominence, they would avoid associating with it.

Don voiced dissatisfaction with Ghanaians’ approach toward developing brands. He said, “Ghanaians do not support anything new until they know it is going to be huge.”

“Ghanaians do not involve themselves in any new investment until they realize its success. Then they associate themselves with it, but Ghana music awards the USA is the biggest scheme now,” he added.

Don also noted that Ghanaians do not care as much about the Ghana Music Awards USA as they do about the Ghana Music Awards UK. He said that this was due to the presence of the Ghana Music Awards, UK. He expressed dissatisfaction with certain candidates’ refusal to promote the program on their different social media channels.

Ghana Music Awards USA is a unique concept that celebrates and honors Ghanaian artists in the diaspora and beyond. One of the primary goals is to promote and enjoy Ghanaian music throughout the world.
