Yesterday in Accra, Ghanaian makeup artist and nurse Dela Gomey accomplished the amazing accomplishment of applying lipstick to eight models in under 30 seconds, taking a step toward adding his name to the Guinness World Records book.
This incredible attempt, which needs to be confirmed by GWR, beats the previous record of four applications, which was made in 2018 by well-known Chinese cosmetics artist Li Jiaqi.
Gomey, who showed flexibility and poise under duress, asked for an additional model during the attempt, even though he had originally planned for seven.

Gomey highlighted his careful planning and excitement in an interview with GraphicOnline. “I have gathered all the pictorial and video evidence and would be submitting it on Monday,” he proudly declared.
Gomey admitted to have felt a little twinge of regret at not having included more models at first, but he soon found comfort in the scope of his accomplishment. “When I think about it, I have doubled the current record so I am pleased with my effort,” he stated with satisfaction.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying, “I want to thank all Ghanaians for their encouragement and belief in me. This record is for all of us!”
