The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Publishing Company, Nana Kwasi Boatey, has unveiled an ambitious plan to implement the 24-hour economy policy, aiming to significantly enhance the company’s production and sales capacity.
Speaking at a handing-over ceremony, Boatey emphasized that the initiative would involve expanding the workforce and optimizing operational efficiency.
“My first and initial commitment is to ensure that we will practicalize the President’s vision of a 24-hour economy almost immediately. I see no reason why we should not be able to double our production, double our sales, and double our staff,” he stated.

Boatey urged employees to embrace the vision and work collaboratively to ensure its success, highlighting the potential for increased output and revenue.
Outgoing CEO Highlights Achievements
The outgoing CEO, David Asante, reflected on his tenure, citing major financial and infrastructural improvements within the company.
“There is a Ghana Publishing Company Limited that has money in its account. When I took over, we had GH¢80,000 in the company’s accounts. Today, we have millions of Ghana Cedis in the company’s account,” Asante revealed.
He also pointed to the expansion of the company, including the opening of a new branch in Kumasi, as well as the acquisition of modern printing equipment, which has positioned the firm to take on larger contracts.
With Boatey’s leadership, the Ghana Publishing Company is set to enter a new phase of growth, leveraging the 24-hour economy framework to enhance productivity and cement its role in Ghana’s publishing and printing industry.
