The age-old debate on which country has the best rice meal, Jollof that has been going on among Ghanaians and Nigerians has finally been settled by British singer, Ed Sheeran after he stated he enjoys the Ghana Jollof better than that of Nigeria.
Ed Sheeran has hailed Ghana’s Jollof as the best among the two West African countries, Ghana and Nigeria.
Over the weekend, there was an awards event in London, Earthshot 2021 Prize Awards where Ed-Sheeran met Nigerian musician, Yemi Alade and mentioned that Ghana’s Jollof remains the best amongst the two countries.
Yemi Alade on the other hand had tried to convince the “Barcelona” hitmaker that hers was the best, but it seemed Ed-Sheeran would have none of that.

To prove to his colleague musician that he is right, he was reported to have mentioned to Yemi Alade that anytime they meet in Ghana, he would offer her a taste of the delicious Ghana jollof.
“I think I prefer Ghana jollof, when we link in Ghana, we live with a lot of Nigerians so I probably will let you taste. There is no argument about what’s good or bad,” he convinced other guests they were walking with.
The claim of Ed Sheeran is also corroborated by the Australian High Commissioner who declared Ghana jollof the very best he has ever tasted.
Though not a meal prepared in his home, the roadside taste alone warranted him falling in love with the meal.
