The Ghana Football Association’s Disciplinary Committee has fined Real Tamale United (RTU) GHc100,000 for actions that brought the game into disrepute.
This penalty is a result of a breach of Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations. It follows an investigation into RTU’s matchday 28 game against Dreams FC, held at the Theatre of Dreams.
RTU was found guilty of deceiving match officials by fielding unregistered players to impersonate their officially registered counterparts, compromising the integrity of the game.

Although the club admitted to the violation and sought leniency, citing the registered players’ refusal to travel as the reason for using unregistered players, the Disciplinary Committee deemed the breach a serious violation. As a result, they imposed the fine to maintain league standards.
RTU has been relegated and will compete in the Division One League next season.
