Solomon Sarfo Taylor, the Ghanaian forward formerly of Kotoko, has seen his career abruptly halted due to a three-year ban imposed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA). This ban bars him from engaging in any matches or events organized by the GFA for the next three years.
The stringent penalty follows Taylor’s conviction for falsifying his registration documents. Consequently, the Disciplinary Committee has revoked his player license.

Taylor embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining Asante Kotoko as a free agent following his departure from Danish club Vendsyssel FF. He had spent just a year at Vendsyssel FF after moving from Karela United.
It’s been reported that Taylor had been actively seeking a transfer away from Kotoko before his contract expired in August 2023. However, failing to secure the move, he escalated the matter to the player status committee. Unfortunately, this decision led to allegations of fraud, resulting in a lengthy ban imposed on him.
This ban is a significant setback for Taylor, especially considering he is at the peak of his career at the age of 25. While he still has the option to appeal, the severity of the ban raises doubts about his future in football and whether he’ll be able to resume his professional career.
