The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the release of the 2025 school placement list, cautioning school authorities against admitting students outside the approved list.
In a statement dated September 17, 2025, and signed by the Deputy Director-General of GES, Dr. Munawaru Issahaque (PhD), the Service directed all heads of institutions to strictly comply with the placement provided by the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).
“No student should be admitted outside the official placement list without prior written approval from the Service,” the statement stressed.
According to GES, all placed students are expected to report to their respective schools starting October 18, 2025. Heads of schools have also been instructed to register students in line with the guidelines issued by the Service.
The statement further warned of strict sanctions for any school authorities found flouting the directive.
“Offenders will face sanctions. Regional and district directors have been tasked to closely monitor the admission process and provide the necessary supervisory support to ensure compliance,” Dr. Issahaque noted.
