Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, also known as Funny Face, was granted bail by the Kaneshie District Court after he reportedly threatened to kill his ex-wife, girlfriend, and commit suicide on Instagram.
Funny Face was granted a GH20,000 bond with two sureties by the court.
Benson was also ordered by the Kaneshie District Court to report to the police twice a week.
The case has been adjourned until November 24, 2021.
Funny Face had previously been released from the Accra Psychiatric Hospital after having two medical examinations.
He was scheduled to appear in court on November 10, 2021, but owing to the development, he was summoned and a full medical report on him was submitted.
On October 20, 2021, the Kaneshie District Court ordered that the comedian be sent to a mental facility for evaluation.
The order was issued by the court in response to the police’s request that the comedian be psychiatrically examined.
This is not the first time Funny Face has gone through this.
On Monday, February 15, 2021, the Ofaakor Circuit Court, presided over by His Honour Ebenezer Osei Darko, ordered the police to transport Funny Face to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.
Funny Face was arrested and taken to court after being apprehended by police.
