The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has called on Ghanaians to submit their views and proposals for inclusion in the upcoming 2026–2029 Budget Statement and Economic Policy, scheduled to be presented to Parliament by 15 November 2025.
In a statement, the Ministry expressed appreciation to business associations, professional bodies, financial institutions, civil society groups, faith-based organizations, and the general public for their past contributions to shaping the national budget.
According to the MoF, the move is part of government’s efforts to promote inclusivity and deepen citizen participation in the budget process, ensuring that policies reflect the needs and aspirations of the people.
“This call is in line with Government’s responsiveness to the needs of the Ghanaian citizenry to deepen citizens’ participation in the budget process as well as implement inclusive policies,” the statement read.
Members of the public are encouraged to submit their proposals electronically via bdru@mofep.gov.gh by the close of business on Friday, 29 August 2025.
The Ministry assured stakeholders that all submissions will be given due consideration as part of the government’s strategy to strengthen economic growth and social development over the next four years.
