FBI joins OSP to probe deeper into Cecelia Dapaah's assets

Investigation into Former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecelia Dapaah’s assets has taken a different twist as The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the US has joined the office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to investigate deeper into the matter.

The OSP disclosed this in a tweet and announced that both parties have initiated concurrent inquiries into the activities of the former Minister and her associates.

“It is a collaborative effort to ascertain the lawfulness of Ms. Dapaah and her associate’s wealth both in the context of their funds transitioning from Ghana to the United States of America and vice versa,” parts of the statement said.

The investigations according to the OSP will focus on examining the former minister and her associate’s assets and financial transactions within the US.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is the domestic intelligence and security service of the United States uniquely situated to combat corruption, with the skills and capabilities to run complex undercover operations and surveillance.
