It was tears of great joy in the studios of ATLFM as winners of the special giveaway programme dubbed “The Father’s Gift” and their fathers were presented with gifts during the Father’s Day celebration.
From 13th June 2022 till the climax of the Father’s Day celebrations, ATL FM organized “The Father’s Gift” to callers for them to appreciate their fathers. Special hampers from Jamaa Agyapa were presented to deserving winners.
The program which mandated one to participate by calling or sending a voice recording of their unforgettable memories with their fathers saw many share their profound memories and also pour out their Father’s Day wishes.
To climax the event on Sunday, five winners including their fathers were brought to the studio to be celebrated by ATL FM with sponsorship from Jamaa Agya, Woodin, Blue Band and Ocean spray cranberry juice.
The fathers who could not hide their emotions expressed joy and gratitude for the honour done them by their children.
One father, Rev. Anthony Ato Hills said, “Am Shocked. My kids have always been my strongest friends who keep encouraging me and I want to thank them both.
Another, Mr Joseph Korku Sisu also said “the feeling is great and I am humbled. I thank ATL FM for organizing such a programme to the extent that my son was a winner”.
With tears trickling down her cheek, one of the winners, Evelyn Kokui Seddoh indicated that the love that her father had shown her in her life had been enormous.
She, therefore, thanked him for blessing her adding that not everyone gets such blessings from their fathers.
On the show, the General Manager of the Campus Broadcasting Services Centre, Mr Kwabena Antwi-Konadu paid glowing tribute to some former ATL FM staff and the University of Cape Coast staff for playing the father-figure role in his life.
According to him, it is through their great counsel that ATL FM has metamorphosed into the Campus Broadcasting Services Centre.
