Antoinette Pokua Poku-Mouhtiseb, the late creative director of Poqua Poqu and a Ghanaian fashion designer, has been laid to rest.
On Monday, February 26, 2024, colleagues, celebrities, industry insiders, politicians, and admirers gathered to pay their respects at the funeral ceremony held at the Lashibi Funeral Home.
Celebrities, fellow designers, and prominent people from a variety of fields were present.
Among the many who came to honor the late fashion icon’s legacy were actor and politician John Dumelo and artist Sister Derby.
At age 42, the late fashion legend passed away. It is said that problems during her labor caused her death on Wednesday, February 14 at the Lister Hospital in Accra.
Her three children and spouse, Mr. Mouhtiseb, survive her. The clothing line Poqua Poqu bills itself as an accessible luxury option for ladies. The brand was founded in 2011 with the intention of offering versatile clothing for the chic, smart, and fashionable woman.
Anita Erskine, Eugenia Tachie-Menson, Ayesha Bedwei Ibe, Shirley Emma Tibilla, Claudia Lumor Lady Dentaa Amoateng MBE, Menaye Donkor, and other prominent members of society are among the brand’s esteemed clientele.

Pokua attended Martyrs of Uganda R/C JHS for her elementary education before continuing on to Achimota School for her secondary schooling.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Hull in England and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana.
