Maxwell Konadu, the coach of Nsoatreman FC, was brutally assaulted at Sunyani Coronation Park after being attacked by Bofoakwa Tano supporters.
On Sunday, November 19, 2023, Nsoatreman FC verified this via its official Twitter.
The football team claims that its coach was attacked “because he picked up a point in a game that ended in a draw with the home team Bofoakwa Tano.”

In the eleventh week of the Ghana Premier League, Nsoatreman held Bofoakwa Tano to a goalless draw, maintaining their lead over Tano, who had made a strong start to the 2023–2024 campaign, and securing the second position on the standings.
Maxwell Konadu was not the only person targeted by Sunyani’s fans. The supporters of Bofoakwa Tano are said to have also beaten up referee Robert Musey and his aides.
Regarding the attack on Maxwell Konadu and the match officials, the Ghana Football Association has not yet released a statement.
