Popular underground artiste Iona Reine has received some unfriendly comments from some social media users for her ‘ungratefulness to popular Ghanaian songstress, Belinda Amoah, also known as Mzbel.
The songstress has recently been trolled for apparently paying Mzbel back in a ‘bad’ way after Mzbel had made her famous. ‘dorcasannan77’, a social media user wrote: “She has nothing to boast of, if not of mzbel…ungrateful being rides on mzbel generosity to become popular then after begins to blame her…” others also claimed they had no idea that she existed until Mzbel made her known. ‘noisylvia’ wrote: “I didn’t know she existed until Mzbel started posting her….”
This follows a misunderstanding between Iona Reine and Mzbel that surfaced on social media, in which Iona claimed that it was as a result of a music of hers that she involved Mzbel in its production. The two, over the years have been seen to have had a strong bond of not just friendship but they were also known to have had a mother and daughter relationship.
Shortly after her misunderstanding with Mzbel sufficed online, Iona Reine was seen in a video, having a conversation with popular Ghanaian comedienne, Afia Shwarzenegger, a well known former best friend of Mzbel who is also currently known to be one of Mzbels ‘enemies’. The video caused a lot of stir on social media as people were in extreme amazement that Iona did not take long in ‘siding’ with the ‘enemies’ of Mzbel, not so long after they have had a misunderstanding.
