The Executive Committee of the Student’s Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) on behalf of the student populace has donated 10,000 Ghana Cedis to their colleague, Isaac Armah who has been diagnosed with a recurrent right chest wall soft tissue sarcoma.
The UCC SRC Executive led by Mr. Samuel Kwabena Adotei on Friday, 18th February 2022 paid a visit to him at his residence and made the donation to support his surgery.
An amount of about Gh₵90,000 is reportedly required to complete the surgery and treatment of Mr. Isaac Armah’s condition.
Expressing his appreciation to the SRC for the immense support, Mr. Armah explained that he is currently on chemotherapy after being referred to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra for further treatment.
He also called on the student body to remember him in prayer so he goes through the treatment successfully.
On his part, the father of Mr. Armah said his son has been on medication and he is done with the first phase of treatment adding that the second phase commences on 1st March 2022.
