The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the dates for the re-exhibition of the 2024 Provisional Voter Register (PVR) to run from Tuesday, October 15 to Sunday, October 19, 2024.
In a statement issued on October 14, the EC confirmed that this re-exhibition will be conducted online, departing from the usual practice of displaying the voter register at polling stations across the country.
The Commission explained that this move fulfils an assurance made to political parties during the Special Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting held on October 1, 2024.
The online re-exhibition will allow registered voters to verify their details and report any discrepancies directly to the EC for correction. Voters can check their registration details for free using the short code *711*51#, or by visiting the EC’s official website at https://ec.gov.gh.
To access their voter information, individuals must click the pop-up link in the bottom-right corner of the website’s screen and enter their 10-digit Voter ID number.
This initiative aims to ensure a smoother and more efficient voting process ahead of the 2024 General Elections.
The EC is urging the general public to report any discrepancies to its District Offices for corrections. Political parties have also been called upon to use the provided template to submit any discrepancies identified during the re-exhibition period.
