Effective October 15, 2025, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) will temporarily suspend all road compliance fine activities carried out by its Compliance Team.
The Authority in an official statement stated that the decision follows widespread public feedback and further consultations.
According to DVLA, the pause will allow for broader public engagement before determining the future of the Compliance Team’s operations.
While reaffirming its commitment to road safety, DVLA emphasized the importance of public education on road responsibilities and the consequences of non-compliance.
Meanwhile, DVLA emphasized that the suspension only to the enforcement of fees and charges carried out by the Compliance Team.
The Authority, therefore, encouraged road users to continue observing traffic laws and vehicle standards as it works to improve its engagement strategy and enforcement model.
