In the first preliminary round of the competition, Dreams FC, which is competing in the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time, will play Guinea’s Milo FC de Kankan.
Dreams discovered who their rivals were during the CAF inter-club draw for the 2023–24 season, which was held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.
The ‘Still Believe’ boys won the FA Cup for the first time ever, earning them a spot to represent Ghana in the continental championship.
Since the CAF Confederation Cup’s establishment in 2004, when Ghanaian heavyweights Kotoko and Hearts squared off in the final, Dreams has taken part as the 12th Ghanaian club.

The first preliminary round is scheduled to take place from August 18 to 20 for matches involving the first leg and from August 25 to 27 for matches involving the second leg.
The first leg matches for the second preliminary will take place from September 15 to September 17; the return matches will take place from September 19 to October 1.
Dreams will travel to Guinea for the first leg before returning home for the second match, which it will host at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The winner of the match will compete for a spot in the group round against either AS Douanes (Niger) or Kallon FC (Sierra Leone) in the second preliminary round.
