The wife of Sarkodie, the most decorated rapper in Africa, Tracy Sarkcess, has advised young people in Ghana not to compare their life to the carefully edited highlight reels shared on social media.
She urged young people to concentrate on improving themselves rather than getting sucked into the false lives that are promoted online during her speech at the Cox It Out event in Accra.
The mother of two saw that social media only displayed a small portion of a person’s life, frequently concealing the difficulties and laborious efforts required to succeed.

She related her own story of working extremely hard to make ends meet while a student in Germany, earning priceless experience that has helped her become a resourceful person today.
She said : “Don’t let social media dictate your self-worth. Instead, focus on building a better life for yourself and your family.”#
