DJ Cuppy, a Nigerian disc jockey whose true name is Florence Otedola’s grandmother has been confirmed dead.
DJ Cuppy expressed her sadness at her Grandma Kaduna’s demise in a poignant message that she shared on her X account. At the age of 91, her grandmother passed away.
She does, however, think that her grandmother is now in heaven, keeping watch over them.
DJ Cuppy thought back on her mother’s parenting style and the great influence her grandma had on her life.
“My mummy’s mother has passed away. I’m finding comfort knowing she’s in heaven, looking down on us with love. What a life she lived! I’m SO grateful for the way she shaped my mum, who then shaped me. I’m praying for my very own during this sudden season of change, but we already know that our God is good all the time. Grandma Kaduna, your spirit lives on, guiding and comforting us,” she wrote on X.

Fans have sent the Otedola family their condolences during this trying time as they grieve the passing of their beloved mother.
