Celebrated Nigerian actor, Desmond Elliot
In an interview with TVC, one of the accused celebrities, Desmond Elliot, dismissed the allegations, calling the claims of he being gay baseless and unfounded.
He made it clear that he was unbothered by the rumors, stating that he had more significant issues to focus on than addressing groundless gossip.
He explained, “Why would I waste time responding to accusations that neither add nor subtract anything from my life?
These are mere opinions being tossed around, and I don’t see the point in validating or denying them. As long as I’m making a positive impact, that’s all that matters.”
He went on to stress, “People have the right to identify however they choose, as long as they stay within the bounds of the law. Acceptance isn’t mandatory—do what feels right for you.”
Clarifying his own orientation, he said, “Let me make it clear: I am straight. You won’t find anyone straighter than me. If others want to seek attention for themselves, that’s their choice. But I genuinely don’t care. Live your life, respect the law, and be considerate to those around you.”
