The Denkyirahemaa Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III has today Wednesday, 3 March 2020 taken her turn to receive the Covid-19 vaccine in Accra.
The Ministry of Health in partnership with the Ghana Health Service yesterday launched a national vaccination exercise at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, aimed at sensitizing the citizenry on the need to be vaccinated.
The 2020 flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II are among key personalities who have so far received the jab publicly.

Speaking to the media after taking her jab, Nana Saara III urged Ghanaians, “let’s all avail ourselves for the vaccination because it is safe”.
She also took the opportunity to advice the youth of the country to abstain from LGBTQI+ activities.
“LGBTQI+ is against the traditions and culture of our country. We the traditional leaders of Denkyira will never allow such activities on any Denkyira land,” she stated.
President Akufo-Addo last week reiterated that same sex will not be legalized in Ghana.
According to him, it will never happen under his presidency.
