The Queen Mother of Denkyira Traditional Area in the Central Region, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III has donated 55 Desktop computers to 11 Junior High Schools in Jukwa and its environs with each school getting five computers.
The donation which was done with the support from the Ghana Commercial Bank forms part of efforts in bridging the technological gap between students in the big cities and the rural areas.
This was to ensure that all students have equal access to computer Education especially before the Basic Education Certificate Examination.
At a short presentation done on her behalf, the legal advisor to Denkyira Hemaa, Mr. E. K. Nanah esq. indicated that the first phase of the donation benefitted all public and private Junior High Schools within the Jukwa zone.
He however noted that the second phase of the donation will focus on other schools in the Lower Denkyira enclave.
