Nigerian Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, was disappointed not to win his first Grammy at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.
All three of the nominated categories were lost to the Unavailable crooner.
Davido, who was making his Grammy debut, received nominations in three esteemed categories: Best African Music Performance, Best Melodic Music Rap Performance, and Best Global Music Album for his album “Timeless.”

Both Davido and Burna Boy were unable to win the Best Global Music Album title; Shakti’s “This Moment” was the winner in the end.
Davido’s “Timeless” failed to win the much-coveted Grammy award, despite high hopes.
In the Best African Music Performance category, Davido and his fellow candidates were unsuccessful in their attempts to win a Grammy since Tyla’s song “Water” from South Africa won.
