Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), has praised President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his leadership in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr. Akufo-Addo and his wife got the vaccines on March 1st, prompting his remark.
The performance was shown live on television.
“I salute the example set by President @NAkufoAddo in obtaining the first #COVID19 vaccination through the #COVAX Facility,” Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a tweet. “Your leadership is crucial to fostering faith in this life-saving tool in Flag of Ghana & across Africa.”
