The convoy of Speaker of Parliament ,Alban Bagin was involved in an accident in the early hours of Friday, August 6.
Chief Inspector Kaakyire Abednego, his dispatch rider, is said to have perished in the process.
According to an eyewitness, Papa Richie of Ahenepa FM in Juaso, “the dispatch rider who was clearing the way for the Speaker perished in the process which happened at about 9AM precisely Juaso, before Juaso Junction in the Ashanti Region.”
Richie further said that the dispatch rider’s corpse is being transported from the Juaso Government Hospital to Accra.
The Speaker was on route to Kumasi.
