The College of Distance Education at the University of Cape Coast yesterday held its first seminar series on completed Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC) research support grant project for 2019.
The seminar seeks to provide the platform for researchers to present their research findings to their colleagues for broader consultations and review.
The provost for the college of distance education the chairperson for the event Prof. Isaac Galyuon explained that such seminars important to fine-tune conducted research for publications.
He urged all postgraduate students and senior staff members of the college to participate in such seminars.

He stressed that “Senior staff members who have the intension of pursuing postgraduate studies should attend such seminars because as a post graduate student, you must present seminars to bring out your proposals, findings and it will help you in the end when you are defending your thesis and so I will encourage all staff of the college to attend our seminars to learn from senior colleges”.
The Head of Quality Assurance and the CODE DRIC Monitor Dr. Branford Bervell reiterated DRICs commitment to sponsoring such initiatives and urged more researchers to participate.
“Going forward, we want to continue with this seminar series both on the DRIC project as well as other projects funded by CODE and other research projects undertaken by Code” he indicated.
