The Church of Pentecost- Cape Coast area has donated anti Covid-19 items worth 20 thousand Ghana Cedis to the University of Cape Coast Hospital and the Ankaful Maximum Security Prisons.
Apostle Samuel Yaw Antwi, the Cape Coast Area Head who presented the items on behalf of the church said the gesture was to complement efforts being made to contain the pandemic in the Central Region.
The region currently has 192 cases of the virus ranking third on the regional distribution table of regions with recorded cases of the novel coronavirus.

Apostle Samuel Yaw Antwi said the fight against the pandemic was a collective responsibility.
“We want to use this medium to plead with all of us that we are all potential victims. Nobody should think that he or she is above it so that all of us will do our maximum best not to contract it even in the first place,” he said.
Apostle Antwi also believed that the items given will help protect the front line workers in the cause of their work.
The Director of University Health Service, Dr. Evans Ekanem, who received the donation on behalf of the University of Cape Coast Hospital, commended the Church for its gesture.
“We are very grateful for what has been done. We want to assure you that whatever have been given will be put in the right use.”

Items presented to the institutions were; 20 gallons of parazone, 20 gallons of liquid soap, 20 packs of Jumbo tissues and 20 cartons of smaller tissues as well as 20 boxes of gloves. There were also 11 wellington boots, 80 pieces of face shield, 30 boxes of face masks, 20 veronica buckets and 20 gallons of sanitizers.
