Rev. Dr. Kwabena Boafo, Chairman of the Christian Council, has warned Christians not to be deceived by fraudulent pastors who will seek to sell products purported to cure Covid 19 as Christians begin church service this weekend.
As restrictions have been eased for the various religious sects to return to their activities , he is advising that Christians should be more vigilant in order not to be deluded by miscreants who may claim to have a cure to the virus , neither should they be convinced that the disease it not real.
Rev. Boafo notes in as much as he would not want to belittle the power of God, Christians should be conscious to know that since the start of the outbreak no church leader has come out with a cure for the disease adding that “they should apply science and reasoning to their religious life”.
He is rather calling on church members to ensure strict adherence to the prescribed protocols in order to stay alive.
Starting from June 6 and June 7, 2020 Christian religious activities would begin after close to 11 weeks of ban on religious activities in the country due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The services will be limited to a number of 100 attendees and is expected to be held within the space of an hour under strict hygienic and physical distancing protocols.
Meanwhile some religious organisations have stated that they will remain closed and hold meetings virtually until it is safe enough to do so.
